Katerra is a technology-driven offsite construction company that is breaking new ground by vertically integrating the construction supply chain and developing new technologies to optimize every aspect of building design, materials supply, and construction.
Worked on a 35M tenant improvement project for a large tech company in Mountain View. Facilitated planning, using language-action during lookahead planning and daily huddles. Increased subs participation to lookahead planning (from 4 when initially involved, to 10).
Fulfilled the role of Project Manager for the exterior work (1.2 M), including: compared quotes for subs selection, wrote and issued subcontracts, updated master schedule, negotiated change orders, managed project documentation.

Conducted research on upgrades of high-end facilities. Supported teams in understanding Lean Construction principles and implementing its underlying methods.

Helped students understand concepts in Engineering & Project Management (
CE167, ~100 students), and in Lean Construction Concepts & Methods (
CE268A , ~35 students).
Reviewed contracts to integrate lean practices in prequalification requirements for 2 projects in San Francisco, attended prequalification interviews, documented the team selection process. Projects: Block 33 and Minnesota Housing.
Conducted research for the San Francisco International Airport for process improvement, conducted internal study at DPR Construction to estimate cost of turnover process, fulfilled the role of product manager for a web application developed internally at DPR.

Facebook West Campus project in Menlo Park, CA. Reviewed submittals and request for information, reported project progress, created a quality dashboard to correct defects, created a program to automatically color drawings from the schedule in order to show subcontractors which areas they were assigned each day.
